Receding levels from a dam in the northern rice-producing province of Nueva Ecija have revealed the ruins of a centuries-old town which has become a rare marvel for locals. Parts of the church and foundations of old structures from the old Pantabangan town resurfaced in recent weeks, following the prolonged lack of rain and the onset of the dry season, according to a statement by the national irrigation agency. The ruins of the old town resurfaces whenever the dam dries up due to prolonged hot weather conditions.
