The UP Fencing Team demonstrates various sport disciplines, namely epee, foil, and sabre, in front of French Embassy dignitaries like Ambassador to the Philippines Marie Fontanel at the Philippines-France Paris Olympics Opening Party. Originating from Europe at the turn of the 19th century, fencing was soon mostly refined by the French to the sport it is known worldwide today.
