In a bid to quell safety concerns, Japan’s fisheries agency has been testing fish caught off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture daily since the country began releasing treated water from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant into the sea last month. So far, the agency has not found fish that contained detectable levels of the radioactive isotope tritium.
