Severe Tropical Storm Jenny (international name: Koinu) further intensified and may become a typhoon Monday morning, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)./r

In its 11 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said Jenny was located at 715 km east of Aparri, Cagayan, moving northwest at 10 km/h with maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 135 km/h./r

Jenny is forecast to steadily intensify throughout the forecast period and may reach the typhoon category Monday morning. Furthermore, it may reach its peak intensity on Tuesday.
