Isa nang super typhoon ang Bagyong Egay batay sa 8:00 a.m. weather bulletin ng PAGASA. Patuloy itong lumakas taglay ang hangin na umaabot sa 185 kph at bugsong nasa 230 kph.
Babala ng PAGASA, posibleng magkaroon ng matinding pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa sa mga lugar na makararanas ng matinding ulan.
