Tutol si Defense Sec. Gilbert Teodoro Jr. sa panibagong peace talks sa CPP-NPA-NDF dahil pwede naman aniyang pag-usapan ang isyu sa tamang forum na sa tingin niya ay sa Kongreso. Ayon sa kalihim, sa halip na peace talks ay magparehistro na lamang sila bilang isang lehitimong political party basta’t mayroong ebidensya na wala silang gagawing paghihimagsik laban sa gobyerno.

Dahil, unang-una, bukas loob naman ang gobyerno na magbalik sa fold ng law ang lahat ng mga dating kasapi ng CPP-NPA-NDF. Nandiyan na ang OPAPRU na handa na tulungan sila at i-rehabilitate.
