On The Scene: Artists in Sudan were forced to leave some of their artworks in the conflict-torn country due to aerial bombardments, ground battles, marauding paramilitaries and widespread looting. The Sudanese art scene, which had gained momentum from the popular uprising against autocrat Omar al-Bashir, now finds itself scattered by war four years later.
