Samantala, nanawagan ang National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) ng karagdagang health workers dahil kulang na ang kanilang medical staff dahil sa lumolobong kaso ng leptospirosis na tinatanggap ng nasabing ospital.

Ayon sa pamunuan ng NKTI, naabot na ang full capacity ng kanilang emergency room kaya ginamit na din nilang COVID ward ang iba pa nilang mga pasilidad sa ospital para ma-accommodate lahat ng dumadating pang pasyente ng leptospirosis.
